We Appreciate Our Teachers and Staff

Think about the last time you were surprised with a tasty treat. Perhaps a co-worker gave you a box of chocolates or flowers. Or a loved one surprised you with lunch at work. Doesn’t it feel amazing to have someone say “thank you”?! That’s what Hearts for Schools seeks to accomplish. The Foundation will collaborate with schools to promote teacher and staff recognition through appreciation events.

Step onto a school campus today and you’ll be amazed at how different it feels from when you were a student. Sure, the hustle and bustle are the same. Kids will be kids, joking and running between classes. But somehow, it’s different. The pressure on teachers and staff is unprecedented. Society is asking them to do more than ever before, unfortunately there is often less support accompanying the ever-growing expectations. Teacher and staff retention is at an all-time low right when our kids need the consistency and support. Insert Hearts for Schools!

Here’s how it works. Members of the community decide on an event and school to sponsor. Hearts for Schools coordinates with the vendor (i.e., food truck, caterer, or coordinates the donated items) and the school to coordinate a date. On that day, teachers and staff will all be given your appreciation in an amazing event. Hearts for Schools will be promoting the sponsor with signage or in-person (some exceptions may apply).
